Meet Procedures
when using Hy-Tek
We are using a procedure similar to last year where we are
trying to run all meets with Hy-Tek. In
order to make this transition as smooth as possible we need to enter all the
rosters into our database. For this to
be accomplished your complete roster must be email to Francine Norton (frannorton@sbcglobal.net) and Marge
Kaufmann (nnoameetdirector@att.net)
later than February 28.
TEAM Meet Entry
48 Hours before each meet; coaches need to have their entries emailed to the Head Scorer who is assigned to his/her meet. Entries are to be emailed on the consolidated entry form.
Only that format will be accepted.
The forms are there for dual meets, aqua 5, league and regional championships. When opening a form simply click the save tool and rename the file with your school name and the date of your meet. Enter your information, close the file and send that as an attachment to your scorer.
Fifteen minutes before the start of warm-ups the head scorer will give each coach an entry list. The coach must submit any changes and relay cards to the scorer at the start of warm-up.
After the meet is seeded the scorer will give each coach a meet program and heat/lane assignments will be posted on the pool deck for athletes to check.
After the 50 free, results and scores will be posted. After that time results and scores will be posted after the completion of every 2 events.
Meet Procedures
when using Cards
A few meets might need to be run with cards. You will know what these meets are when I send you the list of assignments.
If you are assigned to a carded meet, you will fill out the cards completely (school name, date, correct event number, name of athlete, correct seed time) and turn them in to the scorers at the start of warm-up. The cards will be seeded and given back to you before the meet starts.
Post Meet Procedure
At the end of the meet coaches will be given final results and scores from the scorer after the Referee has a chance to look them over and sign them.
Scorer will email results and scores to the Reno Gazette. If a coach wants results also sent to their local paper they are to give the scorer the email address of that paper.
